Hendry’s Beach

Arroyo Burro is a family friendly beach that is just 10 minutes away from the Santa Barbara downtown. Evenings are perfect to visit the beach, especially if you are looking to capture beautiful sunsets. Known for its coastline, this beach is surrounded by bluffs that walk you to the Douglas Family Preserve and Elings Park.

Wet your feet on the cool beach waters to beat the summer heat. Your dogs can swim but must be leashed. Boathouse, a restaurant located on this beach, offers an elaborate wine menu, great views, breakfast, lunch and dinner.

You will find locals of all age groups, some walking their dogs, others enjoying some music on their jog, and many others savoring specials at the Hendry’s Boathouse. It’s amazing to see so many people with their own agenda at this beach! This can also be a great spot to catch sunrise with a cup of coffee. Definitely, one of my favorite beaches in Santa Barbara.
