Summer Solstice 2023 - Santa Barbara

The Summer Solstice celebration on June 24, 2023, was a gala in which the entire city of Santa Barbara participated. With excitement in the air tons of folks flocked the streets of Downtown SB in their unique Props. The parade started in the noon and is a testimony to the creative spirits of the people here. With its start at the intersection of Ortega and Santa Barbara streets, the parade travelled all the way until the Alameda Park.

The sun was shining bright, and the Alameda Park greeted us with rows of food stalls. From Cali Vegan Mushroom Dumplings to Jalapeño Poppers and Gyros, there was a variety of food. Most people danced to the songs played by the musicians, there was also face painting and henna around the corner. Indeed, a much-awaited community festival with lots of colors.

This balloon float had a young gymnast performing feats while her group carried this balloon to support her.

Well, this Duo promote the Solstice mascot in

their decorated float and Props.

This is one of the best community celebrations we have had in a while. These festivals not only bring revenue and recognition to the city but bring its people together and build a strong sense of community. It is absolutely fantastic to witness the uniqueness each one of us can bring and yet be accepting of each other celebrating joys together. The weekend was notably a power packed celebration indeed.
