The Andersen’s
Andersen’s, Santa Barbara’s landmark Danish Bakery and Restaurant was founded in 1976 by Alfred Andersen, a professional pastry chef from Aarhus, Denmark. Today, it is owned and run by Birte Anderson (Alfred’s wife) and their daughter Charlotte. The restaurant is decorated in European elegance and the staff are very friendly and proficient.
The bakery restaurant is situated in a prime location with great views of the Hussle and buzzle of the downtown area. I personally enjoyed the Danish deserts and the veggie puff pastries.
On entering the restaurant, we were greeted by many customers purchasing pastries and cakes at the bakery. There is plenty for different palettes.
The food is a little pricy but is worth the overall experience. Would recommend this one specially to all desert lovers!
