Allison’s Country Cafe
I love my grandma’s recipe! I hear this quiet often these days. It only means that food and cooking is such an integral part of representing a family’s heritage. Each one of us and our families are so unique and hold some hidden treasures in the form of mouthwatering recipes. And a restaurant represents this lineage at its core. It gives a family an opportunity to preserve and pass these intricate ideas and cooking traditions on to its future generations.
Located in Ventura is one such family-owned cafe since 1984. Allison’s Country Cafe has a comfy and a family vibe to it. This is easily one of the best brunch spots in the area. The cafe offers an interesting menu and definitely a lot of vegetarian friendly options to choose from. Bound to be greeted by its friendly staff, you are in for a treat here. The homey cafe also offers complementary freshly baked biscuits with homemade raspberry jam on the side. Absolutely yum!
The portions are large, and you will most likely carry a to-go with you. The flavors are fantastic and fill your heart. The food is freshly made and brought to your table hot. The Mexican omelet served with hashbrowns, nachos, guacamole and sour cream on the side is a recommended.
